The pig is the twelfth and thus the last sign in the Chinese zodiac. Perhaps that is why it has been endowed with so many virtuous qualities - be it for comfort or simply because one animal or another hasn't gotten any of them. It is its almost boundless good nature that makes the Pig so endearing. It is completely trusting and knows no malicious ulterior motives. Therefore, it is also predestined in a special way to become a victim of all kinds of pranks. But it does not take its failures particularly tragically and forgives quickly. Fate is kind to the Pig, for it rarely happens that its naivety has truly evil consequences. It is a peace-loving and friendly creature that harms no one. But for all its good nature, the pig gets very angry when you hurt it in a malicious way. Then it really gets into a rage and fights back, snorting with rage. The pig appreciates a quiet, comfortable life above all and is very fond of the pleasures of this earth. According to the motto "live and let live" it spends its days contentedly and full of optimism. It loves cheerful societies, good food and drink, whereby it is not seldom inclined to debauchery. Because it neither reprimands nor criticizes others, it has a lot of friends around it. It is highly appreciated, because it is always ready to help others - be it with good advice or with money. Its thirst for knowledge is great and it reads everything it can get its hands on. Therefore, it is usually very educated and eloquent.

Pleasure is the purpose of life of pigs. They will always eat well, drink well and put on fat. And because they are also far too lazy and lethargic to exercise, they are likely to be presented with a large medical bill one day.
The pig and in the profession
Hard-working as the pig is, it will succeed in almost any profession. As an independent businessman, however, it will fall by the wayside, because any competitive thinking is alien to it. It is much too honest to be able to assert itself against a shrewd opponent. The Pig can perform all professions. Because of its sensitivity, it is sometimes successful in artistic fields. The Pig always finds what it needs to live. It gets work or money without having to make any special effort.
The pig and love
In matters of the heart, pigs tend to be exuberant. They often rush headlong into love adventures that don't always find a happy ending. Then the great sadness breaks out - until the next flirtation. The ideal partner for the pig is the rabbit. In this connection there are neither quarrels nor long discussions, which the pig hates. It must not get involved with the snake, because the snake would soon degrade the pig to a slave. The goat would also take advantage of the pig's good nature.
