From stories and legends, it is known that this creature is at home in mountainous regions, where there is usually a lot of snow.
That is why a yeti, said to be of large stature, is sometimes called a "snowman." He seems to be a rather shy creature and does not like to show himself, but leaves huge footprints in the snow, which indicate where he is traveling.
In some regions, the folk belief of the existence of this creature is firmly established. How it is named varies depending on the culture. Tibetans call him Yeti, Indians call him "Sasquatch", others say Bigfoot to him or abominable snowman.
According to Reinhold Messner, the extreme mountaineer, this should be only a fantasy story, because in reality it is not a hairy snowman, but a special kind of bear that was found only on the northern side of the Himalayas.
Many mysteries revolve around the term "yeti" and it symbolizes exactly the same on the dream level. If you suddenly see a yeti with your own eyes, you will probably be frightened.
